The 30th anniversary of the Military-Police Operation Storm was commemorated on August 5, 2025, throughout Croatia, with the main celebration held in Knin.

The program began with a morning reveille, and delegations laid wreaths at the Croatian Victory – Storm 95 Monument in memory of the fallen and missing defenders. The central ceremony was held at the NK Dinara stadium and the Knin Fortress, where the Croatian flag was raised to the national anthem and the names of those killed in Operation Storm were read aloud. Highlights included a spectacular flyover by Rafale jets, the presentation of Croatian-made FPV drones, and a showcase of the capabilities of the Croatian Armed Forces and Police.
In addition to Knin, the anniversary was commemorated in other cities such as Rijeka, Slunj, and Opatija, through exhibitions, memorial walks, masses, and ceremonial parades. Operation Storm lasted from August 4 to 7, 1995, during which more than 11,000 square kilometers of occupied territory were liberated, enabling the end of the Homeland War and the restoration of Croatia’s territorial integrity.
Speakers emphasized unity, bravery, and gratitude to the veterans, as well as the importance of passing on the values of the Homeland War to younger generations to preserve the memory and appreciate peace. The celebration was an opportunity to highlight once again the greatness of victory and the sacrifice of all Operation Storm participants, reaffirming its status as the most crucial event in modern Croatian history.
